Ink: We use only the finest
inks available for our productions i.e. pigmented UV ink also
known within the commercial printing industry as 200 year
ink. These inks are UV protected and can withstand direct
sunlight over long periods of time without deminished quality.
They produce rich vibrant colors that accentuate the beauty of
our Old Cuba productions.
Art Paper:Our standard paper
media is a commercial quality, high resolution paper that is only
used with pigmented UV inks. At our media selections for each
print, this is your most economical choice for paper media without
any worry about getting reduced quality. Art work printed on this
paper must be covered with picture glass when framed.
Textured Or Canvas Paper:This
is a media upgrade that you may select at each print size selection.
Textured/Canvas paper is a fibered paper or 100% cotton fiber
and is much heavier in grade than the standard art paper. The
texture is the same used for water color productions by artists.
Our LIMITED EDITION prints and other art works are printed on
this paper and this is an upgrade that you may prefer over the
standard heavy weight paper. The price difference between this
canvas paper and the standard heavy weight paper is small and
is a preferred upgrade by alot of our customers. (We reserve the
right to use 100% cotton media that is not textured as an upgrade
at no extra cost to you if this media in fact
enhances the presentation/appearance of the art work you have
selected).
Professional Studio Canvas:
This is our best upgrade option! Art work is printed on real stretchable
canvas. In other words, this is the next best thing to owning
art work that is an oil painting on canvas. When your final art
work is shipped to you, you then take it to a frame shop and the
framer will stretch the canvas the same as an oil painting. Each
production is printed with pigmented UV inks and double sealed
with a varnish sealant. These art works will last a lifetime.
Giclees: About Giclee Printing
Giclee (jhee-clay) - The French word giclée is a feminine noun
that means a spray or a spurt of liquid. The word may have been
derived from the French verb gicler meaning to squirt. The verb,
however, has a different meaning and is used less often in the
contemporary French language. The term giclee print typically
connotes a certain elevation in printmaking technology. Images
are high resolution digital scans printed with archival quality
inks onto various substrates. The giclee process
provides better color accuracy than other means of reproduction.
Ambrosio Martin Art places this print technology on canvas whereby
when framed is mounted the same as an oil painting.
